Re-Re-Do of downstairs bathroom

Would love to show pictures of this space but blogger has decided I am not worthy of putting my own pictures up here (still gonna get that fixed).

Anyway the before, before never got around to being photographed.
The current is like this

oh, well...maybe later.

The future?  I think I may grasscloth the walls from ceiling to the already hanging white wainscotting.

(only of course picture this in a bathroom)

or this
entrances/foyers - beige ivory gold grasscloth grass cloth wallpaper beige white striped rugs striped French settee sofa console table chandelier pendant bookcase chevron mirror wainscoting

I would like to encorporate this wallpaper too, somehow.

Maybe, since it is like $47,000 a square cm (or might as well be) I will try to get a small tiny square and frame it?  Maybe I will try to draw something like it and frame it?  Hmmmm.   Add it to the list!

Thoughts on a light I wasn't ask to fix

So there is a wonderful home on Shelter Island that I am lucky enough to have access to.  I want to do so very much to it, but alas, it isn't mine and I wasn't asked to do any of the things I want to do.
Why should I let that stop me?

See this lovely hallway?  Spy that horrific chandelier?!?!  Eeeeeeeeek!!

Wouldn't this be waaaaaay better?  I LOVE this DIY Ikea hack, and it looks totally do-able.

Take this...

(Ikea Maskros 89.99)

Add this...

Rust-oleum Burnished Brass Spray Paint $29.99

And get this!!!

I also think that the modern-ish vibe would be totally kick ass in the ultra Victorian setting of this home.

Plus...if everyone hates it, it only costs around $100.  A totally forgiveable mistake if it is one!!

finally something to do with all those bags!

I simply am swooning over this idea...not so much the space it is in, but the framed bags/labels!  And I'm not much of a "wearing labels for label's sake" kind of a gal either....

I have a bunch of high end, pretty, cool bags and boxes that are collecting dust in a "hoarders" sort of a way in my basement.   You know, on the table down there that my husband has convinced me is my "office"?
