Fantastical Fire Island

My family and I enjoyed a magical week of vacation.  Unlike our norm, we actually left our house!! We spent a week in Fair Harbor, Fire Island.  While it only took us about 30 minutes to get there via ferry, it might as well be in a land far, far away.



We spent our days taking walks, going to the beach, drinking wine and eating great food.




did I mention eating candy and ice cream?!?!

the kids got along wonderfully, not that we have ever experienced anything other than that!

I think we are going to spend a long weekend there again in early September.  And we decided to do 2 weeks next summer!!  I miss it already!
